Just Who is God?

Is “God” really an appropriate name or even title for the Creator of the Universe? The word “God” is one of the most commonly used words. It is substituted for the Hebrew Elohim in the Old Testament, and for the Greek Theos in the New Testament. Just because someone says, “God is the creator of the universe!” doesn’t prove that’s really who “God” is. Did God really create heaven and earth? Where did the translators get this word to use in the place of the Greek “Theos” of the New Testament?
